Mission Statement
Yellowhead Regional Library provides materials and services to public and school libraries, and other organizations to assist them in meeting the informational, educational, cultural and recreational needs of their communities.
History
Yellowhead Regional Library began operations in January 1971 by providing services to the school and public libraries in the Counties of Barrhead, Lac St. Anne, Leduc, Parkland and Wetaskiwin. As of January 1, 2012, YRL is providing service to a population of 261,160 Albertans in 54 municipalities and 13,136 students in four school districts. YRL headquarters are located in the City of Spruce Grove.
