TRAC (The Regional Automation Consortium)
TRAC is a partnership of four regional library systems - Marigold Library System, Northern Lights Library System, Peace Library System and Yellowhead Regional Library, as well as their member libraries. The four system headquarters and the more than 150
member public libraries operate a library automation system. Patrons of TRAC public libraries have access to more than three million items in the database through the TRAC public access catalogue, TRACpac.
TAL is a province-wide library consortium that works collaboratively with its members to promote universal, barrier-free access to the materials and resources in Alberta's diverse libraries. TAL’s membership includes public, university, college, technical institute and special libraries. Examples of TAL services include The Alberta Library (TAL) Card program, database licensing and the TAL Online catalogue.
APLEN (Alberta Public Library Electronic Network)
The APLEN project built a province-wide, sustainable electronic network connecting Alberta's libraries. It connects hundreds of libraries through the Internet with other libraries and online educational and information resources. It enables libraries to strengthen their position as free public access ramps to the information highway, and it enhances the traditional commitment libraries have toward promoting public access to information and ideas by providing new electronic information options.
LAA (Library Association of Alberta)
LAA is an organization that advocates for libraries, promotes intellectual freedom, provides continuing education and collaborates with others interested in achieving excellence in library and information services.
ALTA (Alberta Library Trustees' Association)
ALTA is the collective voice for Alberta library trustees and, through them, represents the interests of patrons and supporters of public libraries. ALTA also promotes effective library service and leadership in communication and advocacy, and encourages trustee education and development.
ALC (Alberta Library Conference)
ALC is the annual joint conference of the Alberta Library Trustees Association, the Library Association of Alberta, and the Learning Resources Council (ATA). (LRC participates in alternate years.)
CLA (Canadian Library Association)
CLA is the national association which represents those who work in, or advocate for, Canada’s estimated 21,000 libraries. CLA members work in libraries, sit on boards of public libraries, work for companies that provide goods and services to libraries, or are students in graduatelevel or community college programs.

AUMA (Alberta Urban Municipalities Association)
AUMA provides leadership in advocating local government interests to the provincial government and other organizations, and will provide services that address the needs of its membership. Yellowhead Regional Library is an associate member of AUMA.
AAMD&C (Alberta Association of Municipal Districts and Counties)
The AAMD&C is an association of elected rural councils, representing the interests of rural Albertans, and committed to excellence in meeting the diverse and changing needs of its membership. Yellowhead Regional Library is an associate member of AAMD&C.
