Toolkit: CAP - 2009/2010

The CAP 2009-10 Contribution Agreement has arrived! This year each site is eligible for $1,340.40.

Information on assistive and adaptive technologies available from Aroga. Please place any orders directly with Aroga, as TAL will not be doing any central purchasing this year.

Since we are already so late in the year, things will have to move fairly quickly. The time lines for this round are what we expected. Expenditures have to come between April 1, 2009 and March 31, 2010. If you could have both pages of the Letter of Intent signed and sent back to Stephanie at YRL (1-888-986-2770 or 780-962-2770) or Stacey at TAL (780-414-0806) as soon as possible (preferably by the end of November), it would be greatly appreciated. They can also be sent by mail. TAL will not process any claims for a site that they haven’t received a Letter of Intent for.

Feel free to dig in to purchases you have already made in the past 6 or so months, and submit those invoices. You are also welcome and encouraged to submit your claims earlier than the Feb 28th deadline. TAL has been in touch with both PC Corp and Aroga about providing us with a list of items to purchase through them once again; the information will be available here when it is confirmed. Please deal directly with each of these companies, as we will not be doing central purchasing this year. At the bottom of this page are included some guidelines for eligible purchases within this grant.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Many sites have come up with great ideas, and sometimes Industry Canada still surprises us with what they will allow. The key is to getting that permission in writing!

Guidelines for Eligible Purchases:

Here are some guidelines for what purchases are acceptable under the program. As always, if you have any questions about specific items or need further clarification, please feel free to ask. A very simplistic rule of thumb is that the expense will be eligible if it supports computers the public can use to access the internet.

Below are some items that have been asked about frequently:
