iPad Application
On May 28, 2010, YRL released its iPad Application - YourLibrary. This App is available for free in the iTunes store.

Summary: Capitalizing on the Canadian launch of the Apple iPad on MAy 28, 2010, Yellowhead Regional Library, working in partnership with developer Hybrid Forge, has launched the new iPad App, YourLibrary, making it faster and easier to find your favorite books, music and videos in TRACpac, the catalogue of more than 150 Alberta libraries.

  • Search for materials online by keyword, title, author or ISBN
  • View current top 10 fiction and non-fiction book lists
  • Find materials through an integrated readers' advisory service (Novelist)
  • Read book reviews submitted by readers from around the world
  • Look at item details, such as cover image, summary and publication date
  • Place and view holds, and renew items
  • Check the status of your library account
  • Display you barcode for easy checkout

On March 2, 2009, TRAC released its iPhone/iPod Touch Application - TRACpac. This App is available for free in the iTunes store.

Summary: TRACpac for iPhone is the fastest and easiest way to search the combined catalogue of over 150 libraries with holdings of nearly 3 million books, DVDs and other material. Access to your favorite books, CDs and DVDs just got a whole lot faster! TRACpac for iPhone and iPod Touch includes these features

  • Search for books, CDs and DVDs by keyword, title, author or ISBN
  • Check book reviews by other visitors
  • Shortcuts to view the top 10 fiction and non-fiction books
  • View book details such as jacket image, summary, published by and publication date
  • Visit the TRACpac website
  • Patrons of a TRAC affiliated library can:
  • Place holds on books, CDs, DVDs and other material for pick-up at your local library
  • View hold details and cancel a hold
