Administration and Recommendations

Current recommendations (March 18, 12:30 p.m.)

  • All public libraries remain closed.
  • All circulation of physical materials ceases until further notice.
  • All movement of materials between libraries ceases until further notice.
  • Focus on health and safety of local communities and staff.
  • Promote and focus on eResources as primary library services.

Collections and Resource Sharing

While YRL is closed, you can continue to use CCD and submit orders to orders@yrl.ab.ca.

  • All cards in YRL region that had expiry dates in March, April, and May have been extended to July 31. 
  • Due dates for all items out (as of March 18) have been reset to July 31.
  • Held until dates for items with status of held have been extended to July 31.
  • Telephone, email and text notification have been turned off.
